The National Restaurant Awards

Launched in 2007, the awards celebrate the brilliance and vibrancy of the UK’s eating out scene, and reward the very best chefs, front of house staff and restaurants the country has to offer. On the night of the awards, we reveal the list of the 100 best restaurants in the UK – as voted for by our academy of chefs, restaurateurs and food writers – as well as present a series of special awards, culminating in the unveiling of the National Restaurant of the Year.

Organised by industry leading title Restaurant magazine, The National Restaurant Awards are an annual summer celebration held in London. The awards night also signals the start of the National Restaurant Awards programme, which involves a series of meals and networking events held throughout the year.

The awards are the largest annual gathering of top chefs and restaurateurs in the UK. In 2023 over 500 people from across the UK restaurant industry gathered for a special evening of celebrations and networking.

"Thoroughly loved the award ceremony, it was high energy, fun and a great night. I love the fact that it shows how great and diverse the food scene is in this country"Tom Kerridge

We’ve been going for seventeen years, we have a michelin star, have had 10 out of 10 reviews, all those things that attract a lot of business to the restaurant, but we haven’t had a spare table since we won [National Restaurant Awards]Stephen Harris, The Sportsman
