The 2026 National Restaurant Awards saw over 650 people from across the UK restaurant scene gather at Magazine London on Monday 8 June. Presented by Restaurant, the awards celebrate the brilliance and vibrancy of the UK's best restaurants, honouring the very finest chefs and operators in the industry.

On the night, we unveiled the list of the UK's Top 100 Restaurants, as voted for by our esteemed academy of chefs, restaurateurs and food writers. This year's number one spot was awarded to Clerkenwell-based Bouchon Racine, which is inspired by the bouchons of Lyon and the bistros of Paris.

Alongside the Top 100 reveal, a series of special awards recognised restaurants and individuals who have excelled over the past twelve months, culminating in the announcement of the 2026 National Restaurant of the Year.

Gareth Ward's Welsh gem, Ynyshir, ranked sixth on this year's list and took home the title of Best Restaurant in Wales for the eighth consecutive year. Timberyard secured both Best Restaurant in Scotland and Cocktail List of the Year, while The Muddlers Club in Belfast was named Best Restaurant in Northern Ireland for the third year running. Soho sensation The Devonshire was crowned Gastropub of the Year for the third consecutive year, while neighbouring restaurant Mountain took home Wine List of the Year. In Mayfair, BiBi was awarded the Estrella Damm Sustainability Award.

Among the individual honours, Nieves Barragán Mohacho was named Chef of the Year, while Meedu Saad received the Chef to Watch award, recognising the success of his personal project, Impala. Adam Byatt was crowned Restaurateur of the Year, Simon Rogan received the Outstanding Industry Contribution award and Maria Bradford was the first winner of the Trailblazer of the Year award.
