That concludes the 2025 National Restaurant Awards – brought to you by Restaurant. These awards celebrate the brilliance and vibrancy of the UK restaurant scene, honouring the best chefs and operators across the country.
The awards returned to Magazine London in the Docklands on Monday 9 June 2025 for the annual industry celebration. The event brought together hundreds of the UK’s top chefs, restaurateurs, food writers, and influencers. This year’s National Restaurant of the Year was The Ritz. Our special award winners included Moor Hall’s Mark Birchall, who took home Chef of the Year in the same year the restaurant earned its third Michelin star. David Carter, the man behind London hotspots including SMOKESTAK and OMA, was named Restaurateur of the Year. Aaron Potter, who has impressed many with his recently launched solo venture Wildflowers in Belgravia, was named Chef to Watch. Finally, the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Skye Gyngell for her enduring impact on the UK dining scene. You can find the full list of special award winners here.
