Bibendum chef-patron Claude Bosi is to return to his former stomping ground of Mayfair later this year to launch an upscale French-Mediterranean bistro.

Socca Bistro will pay homage to the coastal towns and flavours of the French Riviera and will open at 41 South Audley Street in the summer. The move marks a welcome return to Mayfair for Bosi who closed his two Michelin-starred restaurant Hibiscus in October 2016 after 16 years.

Socca Bistro will be a partnership between the Lyon-born chef and Bombay Bustle and MiMi Mei Fair owner Samyukta Nair with a menu inspired by the towns of Cannes, Marseille and Nice to recreate the nostalgia and flavours of the French Riviera.

The cuisine of the French Riviera will very much be in the spotlight in the capital this year. Chef Mauro Colagreco, chef-patron of three Michelin-starred Mirazur, located on the Côte d’Azur, is also bringing his cooking to London next year with the opening of a number of restaurants at the soon-to-open Whitehall hotel Raffles London At The OWO.
