You’ll be invited Oldstead to spend the day with Tommy and his team where you’ll go foraging with Tommy himself, as well as experience a private tour around the restaurant garden. Two-night foodie break for two at Forest Side
This Michelin-starred restaurant is located in a beautiful country house hotel set among the magical Lake District landscape. You and a guest will stay for Sunday and Monday nights in one of its fabulous master suites and enjoy a full Cumbrian breakfast on both mornings. This food-lovers’ stay includes a morning and afternoon with head chef Paul Leonard on the Monday, where he will take you through Forest Side’s amazing kitchen garden and then lead a cookery lesson demonstrating how he and his team puts its menus together. Steven Smith, head chef at top restaurant and gastropub The Freemasons at Wiswell will come to your house and do a chef masterclass, using seasonal ingredients and local produce. Once the class has taken place, the affable chef will sit down and join you for dinner, where you and a guest and Steven will tuck into a feast with wines paired with each course by the pub’s sommelier.
Farm to plate experience with Stosie Madi
You and a guest will join Parkers Arms chef-patron Stosie Madi to visit the gastropub’s local meat farm to see the animals, meet the farmer and collect the animal. You will then return to Parkers Arms for a cooking demonstration when Stosie will show you how to make her famous curried pies before tucking into a three-course lunch in which one of the pies will feature.
